Blogarate now has Twitter integration, if you have a Twitter account you will be able to rate a blog and notify all your friends via Twitter at the same time!

First we had rate my post...now...

Rate my blog! with avatars and there is no special .dll or installation just cut and paste the code into your blog template then you are good to go :)

The widget can be customized via CSS so you could do something like this...

#Blogarate_RateMyBlog
{ margin: 5px auto; padding: 2px; background: #ddd; color: #fff; border: 1px solid #000; }

The header text in this case "Rate My Blog!" sits outside the widget giving you control over the text.
Unlike the post rating widget your readers will need a www.blogarate.com account to vote. Which makes sense right!
Because without an account their avatar will not be displayed and link back to their account.

How do you get it? Login go to the accounts page and click the widgets tab.
There you will find all the blogarate widgets in one location.

Automated Email Alerts

We've just released an beta version of Blogarate Alerts.
You can now set an alert on a post so that when someone rates a post you saved an alert for we send you an email.

You can save an alert for every new vote or when a post receives more than a certain number of vote...say more then 5 or 20 for example.

Check em out and tell us how you feel about them.
There is also an area to manage your alerts in the account sections.

We had a suggestion from Meg to add the location and About Me fields to the user account. We've done that so go login and update your details.

New Widgets

Hi All,

We have just release a new custom widget that you can set the header text, background color, fore color, widget width and filter the results.

Meaning if you want a widget that displays the top ten posts on a particular subject you can supply tags for the widget to search on.

Login into blogarate and go to the accounts page from there you will find links to the "Create you own widget" page.

Don't fotget you have any suggestions or want something added you can use the suggestion Box to let us know.

Automated Screen Capture

Besides the new widget that we released last week.

We have just installed the screen capture tool onto the Blogarate.com servers. So that now when a new post come in the Screen Capture service will go out to the URL of the blog post and create a .jpg screen dump!

So now you can see from Blogarate.com a screen shot of the post in question...Pretty cool we think!
